Finding the better customers or reducing costs is like printing money, but you will only find these gems if you analyse existing data instead of guessing, or taking advice from people who do the guessing for you. These kinds of discoveries have the same effect as increasing the production or hiring a bunch of new sales people, except
you don't need to buy any
extra material or pay any extra wages.
Analysis of any event or data is a
systematical walkthrough of all the steps involved paired with calculations to
determine vital factors in order to improve either functionality or performance usually with the intent to
improve earnings. It is almost guaranteed that any analysis will
identify both strengths and weaknesses and paying attention to these findings will result in knowledge about areas that can be addressed in a prioritized order.
I carry out analysis both as a
Data Analyst and a
Business Analyst and as a consequence I have two specialized toolboxes and these two toolboxes are very well suited to support each other both in general and in more special cases. I am trained in data analysis by
IBM and in business analysis by the
Wharton Business School of
University of Pennsylvania as well as
Macquarie University,
Johns Hopkins University,
University of Colorado Boulder,
University of Michigan, and
IBIS UvA University of Amsterdam. Additionally, I have a very
extensive experience as analyst for large multinational corporations e.g.
Briggs & Stratton and
Microsoft working in many fields
devising successful strategies to
improve workflow efficiency and cost savings.
